Mercat de l’Olivar is Palma's largest covered market, conveniently located near the Placa d'Espanya and the main transport hub. The historic hall is filled with vendors selling a variety of goods, from produce and cheese to seafood and pastries. It has been open since the 1950s and offers an array of Balearic cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables, Spanish olives, island salts, as well as takeaway Mallorcan meals.
Amazing market, one of our favourites during our whole Spain trip. They seem to have the balance just right between a working market/ a shopping market/ a social & eating market. Space for everyone. The food was so fresh, the variety so abundant, and the people so friendly. Stopped at two different places for some tastings. The whole market is very photogenic- stalls are beautifully presented. So much to see and try.
Gustav — Google review
It is the largest and most famous traditional market in Palma, operating since 1951 and offering a wide variety of fresh produce, seafood, meat, cheese, olives, spices, and other local specialties. The seafood section is particularly well-known. Visitors can also enjoy traditional Mallorcan dishes and tapas. Interestingly, Korean street food is available here as well. The indoor area feels clean and well-organized, making for a pleasant shopping experience. Outside, there is a well-equipped play area for children.
Seokjin H — Google review
This place is truly authentic. We were lucky enough to get there before the food venues closed. First class oysters with wine and sushi straight from the local vendors. Lots of tapas. Absolute gem. Full of Spanish who know their flavours.
Leszek S — Google review
Lovely walk around the market especially the fish section, one side is fish to buy, the other is filled with sushi and oyster bars where you can sit and enjoy with lots of cava! We really enjoyed visiting and most definitely will be back! There is also a similar section of the market for cheese and fresh hands with wine, if we had more time we would have done both. Very busy vibrant market.
Cheryl — Google review
Lovely to see the beautiful fruit and vegetables. Flavoured salts shop cheaper here than the airport! Didn’t eat but food looked good.
Jo D — Google review
A very nice place with fresh fish, meat, and vegetables. It's a great spot to enjoy lunch, brunch, or anything in between. They offer local dishes, fresh sushi, and delicious sweets. My recommendation: always visit local markets when you're in a new city!
Mihaela B — Google review
The probably best market in Palma! So many hidden gems here! I come here all the time to eat, drink and do my groceries. Really a must see and eat place
Harry K — Google review
A very touristy market, I really doubt locals shop there, the prices are quite high. We did have some nice oysters but if I lived in Palma, I would probably not shop there. Best place to get jamon though, starts at €19.99/kg :)

Buscando El Norte is a stylish and buzzing bar & grill that specialises in tapas and steaks. The menu has a variety of sizes to choose from, as well as quirky options such as mini-Angus burgers. There's also a terrace with stunning views of Old Town.
Today we went to try this place as we had walked past a few times and always wanted to try it, we had a "Menu del dia" and i have to say it was amazing! The service was very quick and everyone who spoke with us/served us were very friendly, we shall return! Highly recommended and a reasonable price. I added a couple of photos of the starters :)

Loved it! Very friendly and accommodating staff, delicious food, and great atmosphere. We had about twenty different tapas/ main dishes, what stood out for me was the foie and also the brioche with ham as. But it was all so delicious, hard to not enjoy the food there. I heard the sangria wasn’t all that exciting but I am not a sangria drinker so that’s second hand hearsay. Would come back in a heartbeat.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Delightful Culinary Journey at Buscando el Norte! My recent dining experience at Buscando el Norte was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and attentiveness that set the tone for a perfect evening. We started with the scallops, which were perfectly seared and bursting with flavor. The salmon was equally impressive, cooked to perfection with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The shrimp salad was a refreshing balance of sweet and tangy, a delightful accompaniment to the meal. What truly elevated our experience was the outstanding service provided by our waiter, Roberto. He was knowledgeable about the menu, made excellent recommendations, and ensured that every detail of our dining experience was impeccable. His friendly and professional demeanor made us feel welcome and well taken care of. If you're looking for a place that combines delicious food with top-notch service, Buscando el Norte is a must-visit. A big thank you to Roberto for making our night so memorable! We can't wait to return and explore more of the menu.

Very good and tasty dishes. Pinchos are excellent! The service is good, the ambiance is attractive. I recommend sea bass with rice in pesto!

Very popular italo-argentinian bistro with Spanish and japanese accents. Food is consistent and well cooked, l had a lovely fish risotto. Friendly atmosphere and centric location near the train station, quite crowded. Mains are a bit on the high side but produce is good quality, so quid pro quo.
Ana M — Google review
This is a restaurant with a great bar, I had a light lunch here but the dinner menu looked fantastic. I had a grilled octopus with chimichuri sauce and it came with bonito flakes on the top, perfectly salted and so tasty. Such a good combination! Also, the flakes were moving because of the heat and I felt like my food is alive. It was so much fun to discover this! I had a couple of cocktails at the bar with a very friendly bartender who created a special cocktail just for me. Needles to say, I felt excellent here even if I was alone. I just needed to recharge my batteries and this place proved to be more than just a restaurant. It was fun. It’s got a vibe definitely!

Great restaurant for lunch, snack or dinner. Love the food love the atmosphere. Go there. Eat there. LOVE IT THERE!
Dan G — Google review
Not far from the Palma cathedral, we reached the place thanks to "restaurant near me" google app. Looks somewhat "plain" from outside yet offers an interesting interior decoration. Service needs improvement: we were approached by 3 people in total, which led to miscommunication - and as a result, one of our orders went almost forgotten. Good rose wine (Azpilicueta looked "football familiar") and salads while the quality of grilled octopus was regrettably mediocre.

If you're in the Santa Catalina area and craving authentic Indian cuisine, look no further than Jonny's Dhaba. This charming restaurant stands out from typical curry houses, as its owners hail from Patiala in Punjab, bringing with them a treasure trove of traditional recipes. The menu features delightful Thalis and Tandoori dishes that truly reflect the rich flavors of their homeland. With an emphasis on Punjabi hospitality and home-cooked meals, every bite transports you to the heart of India.
Yes,I can recommend this restaurant with his very friendly chef Mr. "Inder" and his stuff. The decoration is very beautiful and the dishes are very delicious. All together, I was there now three times, and it doesn't matter if you come in two for having lunch or in a group of eight people ( 4 this I made a reservation ) for dinner . Iam sure, that it wasn't my last time here in little India, that reminds me,to book my vacation for to visit this country once in my life. Thank you. Namaste

Definitely recommend eating here 😋staff was lovely and friendly and very affordable not expensive. Food was so tasty 😍we got chicken pakora and onion bhajis for starters both tasted amazing 🤩 and for main we got prawn jalfrezi and chicken tikka masala with 3 sides , rice , chips and garlic naan 🫓 garlic naan so was crispy which I love ❤️ prawn jalfrezi was a little spicy but still very delicious and we got a bottle of rose wine

I had diarrhea after eating at this restaurant, even though the food I chose wasn't spicy. I ordered butter chicken with garlic naan. The staffs were also not friendly and it takes a lot of time to order (15 min) , to prepare (45 min) and to bring the bill (20 min) ! I don’t recommend this restaurant at all

Southeast Asian restaurant
KOH is a stylish and art-filled eatery offering Thai and Southeast Asian cuisine in Palma. The restaurant provides indoor and outdoor dining options, including a garden terrace shaded by palm, fig, and cherry trees. With colorful Chinese lanterns and wall art, the restaurant offers an original culinary experience with authentic South-East Asian dishes such as Pad Kra Pao Duck stir-fry, dim sum, cumin lamb ribs, and Thai fishcakes.
Wow, what an unforgettable dining experience we had last night! We started off with the most delicious, crispy spring rolls and perfectly seasoned edamame, which set the tone for the entire evening. For starters, we also had the chicken satay, which was a statement dish on its own, and the aubergine miso, which was absolutely delicious. For the main course, I chose the green Thai curry, and I can confidently say it was the best I’ve ever had. The flavors were incredibly vibrant, and the presentation was so beautiful, it almost felt like a shame to dig in! My friends were equally blown away by their choices—one had the rich, flavorful duck curry, while the other enjoyed the melt-in-your-mouth wagyu beef. Every dish was executed to perfection. The cocktails were another highlight—expertly mixed, inventive, and completely unique. They really elevated the entire dining experience. I’ve been raving about this place ever since, and a friend of ours who lives in Palma has already made a reservation after hearing how much we loved it. I can't wait to go back!
Sandi L — Google review
We celebrated our 5 year anniversary at KOH and got some "tapas" from the house. The cocktails were delicious and the food as well. Would recommend to take fish instead of meat as that tasted the best! Amazingly friendly staff and nice quite small place to eat. A reservation is a must...
Birthe D — Google review
Absolutely lovely meal! Beautiful presentation and perfect balance of flavors in all the dishes we tasted. Highlight was the spiced chocolate banana dessert. The staff were kind and made our large family feel welcome. The waiter was especially careful to check with the chef for all our dietary needs.

⭐️ Your foody dreams come true ⭐️ Here you will get an excellent service combined with a nice and familiar atmosphere plus incredible food. We went here on Monday evening and had the best time ever. The food was just out of this world - the duck meat was like butter. They have a great drink menu and good IPA. I will definitiv come back next time I am in Palma. Tip: If you reserve your table through the google maps reservation link you get -30% on your meal (just the first time), but this is crazy! Try it out, they put the discount on the bill automatically.
Chris N — Google review
Firstly, the positive side: the quality of the food used is good. However, this does not outweigh the completely exorbitant prices. The price/performance ratio here borders on extortionate. In my opinion, Koh is a tourist trap. The beef salad consists of half a sliced cucumber, four thin slices of beef and three small cocktail tomatoes. The price is 22€! The same goes for the main courses. The green curry is served with four small slices of chicken breast and a mini bowl of rice. The price was 26€. There were four of us. Including three women. Nobody was full and we ended up paying over €170 for 2 starters, 4 main courses and 3 bottles of water. The food itself tasted boring. The green curry or rather the sauce had little flavour and was barely seasoned. There are much better Thai restaurants in Palma where you can get double the portion for half the price.
Oliver V — Google review
So good we decided to book it again for our last night of our trip. The food at Koh was some of the best we had in Palma, and some of the best Thai food ever tried. The staff were fantastic and the cocktails were delicious. Loved the atmosphere in the restaurant too. The whole menu was great, would recommend the curries, chicken satay and the ribs.
Karen K — Google review
A great dinner place with a nice ambient! The taste is good, the service is perfect and do you use The Fork reservation service, you can get 30% discount on dishes for certain hours and days. The price was at the upper class, but it was as expected. I will come back for more fun

QUADRAT Restaurant & Garden offers a blend of Mediterranean cuisine and local flavors in an elegant setting at the former stables of Hotel Sant Francesc in Palma. The upscale restaurant features a lovely terrace, making it perfect for charming summer evenings. It is known for its updated Mediterranean dishes and tasting menus, providing a taste of down home Mallorcan cooking.
Booked for the tasting menu explaining that one of us is vegetarian. They produced the same manual as the standard at the the start as that was suitable for vegetarians. The second half was different with some completely different dishes on offer for me which was a welcome touch. The staff were so friendly and professional. We opted for the wine pairing which was the same win for both of us which is fine but perhaps would have been better if it matched more with the vegetarian dishes. They were however very good wines. I would recommend this place.

Amazing meal - The hotel quadrat is situated in is stunning, I wish I could afford the price per night! And the restaurant itself has very nice seating areas especially outside - incase you worry about mosquitos or anything similar. They something in place that repels all irritants of that nature and it worked 100%. The food was fantastic, especially the tomato salad . Best tomato's me and my partner have ever had. And the service from start to finish was amazing. And nicely situated near the old town too for a nice walk after dinner.

Perfect place for Sunday lunch. Menu changes every week and choice is lottery because you can get “ordinary food” or be honored with masterpiece from Chief. Due to this disbalane only 4 stars.

The food was great, the sommelier outdid herself being super helpful and really interested in making you happy, the staff was extremely attentive. The restaurant is beautiful, specially the inside of the restaurant, great decorations.

Great food, lovely service. Had the Tasting menu, left feeling super full. Slightly disappointed with Dessert as we were given a few similar items (a lot of ice cream related dishes), would have preferred a bit more variation here. Overall, beautiful flavours, would recommend. Another issue was we felt extremely cold as the door was open next to us, and was not closed. Due to a wall in the way, we didn't realised this was open until we were leaving.
Jasmine J — Google review
Great restaurant with exquisite creative cuisine. We absolutely recommend it! The tasting menu was a great experience! Also with a vegetarian option! 👍
Barbara B — Google review
We have tried various restaurants in Palma since June. This is particular is on the top of our list. Not only it is value for money but you leave the restaurant stuffed and with great memories of an excellent experience. The food is delicious and it takes you on a journey through Mallorca and it cuisine. The Chef and the team have prepared a great menu with modern twist. We had the tasting menu and we added the cheese selection as well which is well worth the 10€ extra. The restaurant is recommended in the Michelin guide and i have to admit that is better even from restaurants with a Michelin star. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. We loved everything from the ambience to the very last dish. Couldn't recommend it enough. If you are coming in Palma then definitely give it a try! Great touch the fact that the chef passed by our table at the end to thank us and ask about our experience.

10/10. Food was incredible and atmosphere/environment beautiful and both romantic and relaxing. I was there with my fiance, but I also saw plenty of tables that looked like good friends. Really can’t stress how amazing the food was!! Seafood was all cooked amazingly!!

Service could be a little bit improved! Concept of how to share dishes not self explaining. Once we ordered, we were ‘left on our own’ kind of…! But: food excellent! Good sizes. Rough calculation is one dish per person at the table! Ambiance is good!!!

Always a great experience with the whole Team of Emilio Innobar. We enjoy the excellent food and Wine. We are regular guests now for several year and we have never been disappointed.

If you want to know what’s in your food before ordering it, don’t come here. You only get a headlines menu without explaining what’s in the dish, unless you ask for every headline explained. The service is ok, we asked for the drinks multiple times and still no sign of them. When they arrived they were wrong

It’s a really nice sushi place, the service was very good and the food outstanding. Although I cannot pass that when you book a table, there is a commentary box where I wrote that I was celebrating with my partner, if they could deco the table or something, anything would’ve done. But they did nothing, then, why bother putting the box? Why bother writing anything, I would’ve loved a reply saying they cannot do it, or just the box not being there if you are just ignoring it.

One of the best sushi restaurants in the world and for sure the best on Mallorca. I'm here since 10 years and every time the food is perfect. The quality of the fish is awesome! The only restaurant on the island, that keeps this quality and standard for such a long time!!

We really enjoy the food. All Japanese dishes and the sushi was super fresh. Both presentation and flavors are high quality. Good service also.

Incredible restaurant. The service was to the point, the food was unreal we even had to order more. Great experience. Higher prices than other restaurants but very worth wile. Taste sensation and would definitely return.

We were pleasantly surprised with the efforts they were making to serve us vegetarian options even though they were not on the menu. The flavors of the food were good and punchy and the service was friendly.
Einav N — Google review
Great atmosphere and the dumplings are amazing. The waitress who served us kindly took her time to explain every dish in the menu. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Mercat de Santa Catalina is a must-visit undercover food market in the trendy Santa Catalina neighborhood. It's recommended to explore it after sunset, as the area comes alive with its thriving nightlife, featuring trendy bars, clubs, and contemporary restaurants. The market offers a variety of local delicacies such as sobrassada sausage, olive oil, meats, cheeses, wines, and liqueurs. You can also find stalls selling oils, chutneys, honey, and other packaged goods.
Lovely local market surrounded by coffee shops. Great place to browse and eat

Most of it is not working in the morning, later on the diversion is not as great, as far as food goes, some places make and some just warm up things, however most don't bother adding prices. It is generally for the local folk and not so touristy-welcoming. Can't say I liked it. Didn't find anything to appeal for me, and came in twice. Didn't even get pictures inside, as there was nothing to take a picture of....

We bought a few delicacies from here like dried spices, fruits and the rotisserie chicken. All delicious. We indulged the bought items by the park close by, under the trees on a sunny day. Bliss.

Small but perfect. All the fresh food you’d want plus lots of little eateries such as Vermoutique. Specialising in tapas, vermuts and grilled meat. Check them out on IG. Divine!

Restaurant Botànic is a charming and romantic dining spot located in Spain, nestled in the back garden of a 16th-century mansion just off Passeig del Born. The restaurant offers a unique experience with its focus on fresh, plant-forward dishes that are both healthy and indulgent. Chef Andres Benitez creates innovative global fusion dishes using local ingredients, drawing inspiration from various cuisines such as Asian, Middle Eastern, and Mexican.
Exactly what you would expect: Fine service & fine dining experience in Palma. We had the 90€ tasting menu and it was unbelievable, just enough to leave you satiated but also begging for more. The way the ingredients and flavours complement each other: Chefs kiss. And definitely don’t skip out on the dessert.
Marii P — Google review
The menu was otherwise great, but somehow I happened to get some bad bits on my plate. My wife said her duck was perfect, tender and juicy, whereas the bits I happened to pick onto my plate (from the shared dish) were dry and hard to cut with a knife. Similarly, in the fruit pre-dessert, my piece was very bitter, although my wife said hers was sweet. The other dishes were impeccable!
Martti H — Google review
We’ve had an amazing birthday lunch here on 14/03, and opted for a set menu. Every dish was nothing short of perfect, the service was great (surprising us with a candle to blow out for the birthday girl!), and even though it was pouring rain outside, the atmosphere inside was cozy. We’ll definitely return!
Merel H — Google review
Elegant restaurant with nice interesting food, though not with wow effect. The staff is very kind, but the service is too slow. Too dark in one saloon. Bit pricy
Stefaniya G — Google review
There are no words to describes this places and the pictures in Google don’t make it justice. It is beautiful, quiet and elegant tucked unexpectedly after the entrance courtyard. The food and service were first class, the banana with miso caramel was out of this world. Salva the manager and all the time couldn’t do enough for the guest and were happy to answer all sort of queries from a food obsessed guest like me. Even my partner who doesn’t usually like vegetables that much loved it. And is really reasonably priced for the quality and location. Can’t praised enough, ambience, food, service all 5 stars.

Definitely one not to miss out. I would say it was an unique experience, a lovely one. Amazing plating and food combos! We really really enjoyed the place, as it was very quiet. Had lots of small plates with various vegan dishes (some of them attached to this review). Waiters, absolutely lovely, super helpful and friendly! We loved all the details, the meticulous preparing and spices, coloring, everything! Recommend this place from the heart! You’ll really have an unique experience! I think it can be an amazing birthday gift, a romantic dinner or even a place to purpose her/him! Thank you for having us! We hope to come back soon.

The vegetarian menu was absolutely brilliant. Such amazing food and the flavour combinations made it feel like eating those vegetables for the first time! Highlight was the Pink Tomato which was filled with so many fresh flavours. Service was the only let down. We had five separate servers which made the dining experience confusing. Had to wait over 20 minutes to pay the bill.

Korean Bunsik is a popular spot for those seeking authentic Korean street food. Located in Mercat de l'Olivar, this eatery offers a variety of Korean fare, including sizzling Bibimbap and ribs, as well as Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese dishes. Customers rave about the potato Korean corn dog with its crispy outer layer and perfectly cooked hot dog inside. The reasonable prices and friendly staff add to the overall positive experience.
Korean Bunsik is a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Korean street food. I tried the potato Korean corn dog, and it did not disappoint! The crispy outer layer, coated in thinly sliced potato, added a delightful texture, while the hot dog inside was perfectly cooked. Each bite was savory and satisfying. If I ever go back to Palma, I’d definitely eat there again.

Well of course it’s western style korean food, but still very authentic! We loved the Tteokbokki and korean chicken! We craved Korean food and we had Korean Food. Oh how I wish to have this kind of food stall in my hometown. Thank you, we‘ll be back

Fantastic Korean street food located in Mercat de l’Olivar! Everything was tasty, I personally wanted to order the whole menu. Also, they should certainly consider opening another restaurant where people could sit. I’m sure it’ll be a success!

Additionally, El Neo Gastro Bar is renowned for its delicious cocktails and should not be missed when exploring the city's nightlife scene.
Great evening with super food. I had a amazing food experience from el Neo. The staff was super friendly and the food was so fresh and refreshing. The best restaurant around the local to make a romantic dinner. They provide amazing cocktails, I should appreciate the bar personal for my refreshing cocktail. Prices are reasonable and well arranged and cozy atmosphere

No olives?! C'mon! But a great atmosphere, cool bartenders, and great drinks. Descent beer selection, too.

Cocktail did not have the ingredients in it on the menu. Questioned it with the barman …. Who showed us an empty bottle of the alcohol we knew was missing (which meant nothing) and was in fact quite rude. Had to ask for the four euro change …. Definitely was not going to tip! They don’t care because we are tourists. Rip off joint.

Marine L — Google review
Extremely weird waiters. Served us several salsas and bread that we got charged for without ordering. The bread was burned and tasted like ashtray. The food was made us feel nautious. Drinks were way too strong and weird.
Ofelia H — Google review
At first, the attention was quite good. After 1 hour of drinking some beers and recently have asked for more, we unexpectedly received the bill and were told we needed to leave because they had our table “reserved”, which we didn’t believe as we have asked them at what time they were supposed to close and received any warning we were supposed to leave at any time. We told the guy who was in charge and received any other option, not even an option to stay (we actually were planning to do so). Instead, he charged us and not even said “thanks”. Never in my life I have been kicked out from a place like this. Not recommended. Ps. The waitress Eva was completely fine and a really good one!!

Authentic Japanese restaurant
If you're on the hunt for exceptional Japanese cuisine, look no further than Okinawa Japanese. This gem not only boasts some of the finest sushi and hot plates on the island but also offers a stunning view of Palma's luxurious yachts at Moll Vell Marina. For those in need of a quick bite, Arume Sushi Bar & Dim Sum located in Santa Catalina Market is another fantastic option known for its fresh ingredients and quality dishes.
They serve the best Salmon Nigiri I have ever tried! We enjoyed our lunch there very much, great service, very friendly and simply super delicious.

Delicious, tasty and incredibly fresh
Sara M — Google review
(Translated by Google) Great surprise! Totally different from the usual Japanese restaurants in Palma for several reasons. The first and most notable reason is the quality of the sushi. Forget about large piles of rice with little to add flavor; on the contrary, I could tell you that each of the sushi we tried had more ingredients than rice, and that's a differentiating factor. I would also highlight the originality in the mix and match of the rolls they offer. Also, off the menu, they have a kind of "dish of the day" on a blackboard; we tried a wok that was brutally delicious. Another reason that sets it apart is the careful and modest presentation of each roll; the rolls and practically all the dishes we ordered were truly exquisite. But above all, I would highlight that chef César makes a point of coming out to explain what you're eating and how he's "put it together" to give it a different flavor. For example, we had a tuna tartar cut into tiny cubes, garnished with coral tempura on top. Incredible! One of the things I find hardest to rate in a Japanese restaurant is the desserts, which are usually all cut from the same cloth. However, the dessert menu was varied and quite appropriate for a Japanese restaurant. We ordered the mochi (macha tea, white chocolate, and raspberry) and the homemade lemon pie (delicious). Finally, even its location makes it different; located inside the Mercado del Olivar, it gives it a much more intimate and authentic feel. There are no lines, they are fast, and you can order it to go if you want. (Original) Gran sorpresa!
