Nathula pass was closed for the last 2 days and it was open today 23feb , Even though open there was snowfall and heavy fogs which caused the vehicles to return back halfway before tsongo/changu lake as bro stopped the vehicles . Still the weather and snow drizzle was magical. It's pretty cold due to this bad weather going on now .

✍️...Indo China border at a height of 14K feet in Sikkim. Worth a visit to experience the border separation of India & China👍. Few folk would have breathing issues at this height & better to buy one of the portable Oxygen canisters there only. Overall a decent spot & nothing spectacular but for the border separation👍👍👍👍

Nathu La Pass Ride from gangtok is a truly awe-inspiring experience. The pass offers glimpses of the Indo-China border, a unique experience on international boundaries. 😊 To visit this pass you have to apply for a permit a day before. For applying permit pass- you have to give your - Aadhar card - 2 photo copies & If you are visiting through your private vehicle - ensure you have your -License -RC -PUC -insurance & the bike should be registered on your own. At the peak of 14120 feet you may have altitude sickness so keep a small oxygen can with you or take camphor with you. Drive carefully & enjoy the beautiful high passes 😊

Nathula is a beautiful area situated on top of mountains of East Sikkim. There two lakes are present one is big and one is small. The bigger lake enclosed the shape of an elephant. Nearby, there is another smaller lake which also looks like a baby elephant. This is the beauty of nature. Such a marvelous scenery. It is situated around 13000 ft. Above the sea level.

Went there in first week May 2024. This is Indo China border in Sikkim side. Located at an altitude of 14k feet, it’s really cold up there and wind is quite on higher side. Wear proper jackets and clothes when you are there, don’t run around and exhaust yourself. Take camphor with you in case you may need it during short breathlessness . Sone people felt giddiness when they went up and came down to Gangtok , so take rest if that’s the case and don’t push yourself.

Nice place for an outing. We had gone there during rainy season. They had strong protection against rain. Sitting area is also good. They don't have any parking space. Entry ticket was 20 rs for adult and children above 5 years. They have a small pond and fountain area. Fern trees are worth watching. Flowers are also available in good shape and condition. Staff is very friendly.

The hanuman Tok is basically a mandir on top of the hill. The mandir consists of different dev-divis. Mainly there is a big Hanuman mandir. Alongside there is a mandir consisting of Ram, Lakshman, Sita, ganesh, durga, and some more. On the other hand there is another room consisting of a wall sculpture of the ramayan story. We didn't want to take many photos of the inside of the mandir.

Was a good place to take some photos but nothing great about the views from this place. Suppose to be able to see kanchenjunga but nothing like that is visible. I had also read that there is a telescope at the top through which we can view these hills. We paid nominal 10 rs to go up but had nothing to see there and no telescope as well. Generally very crowded, decent place but nothing worth the hype

A must visit place if your in Gangtok to spend a peaceful evening The park is lush green, very nearly maintained and the waterfall is the highlight of the park. You can go close to the water and even take a dip . There are couple of adventure activities available within the park and also hosts a decent restaurant to wine n dine. There is a small entry fee for the park which can be bought at the entrance on arrival.

This place will be a part of local sightseeing at Gangtok. Located on the route from Gangtok to Rumtek. To start with it has got ample parking space. The ticket to enter this place is 100 per head. inside this, there are a few food outlets present. Toilets are available but no one is there to attend or not all the taps work in the toilet. They are not clean properly just usable in case of emergency. This place is picturesque. Has a naturally flowing waterfall spread across a big area. Some man made bridges to walk on and take pictures with falls in the background. Play area for kids, a man-made water Lake having boating for kids, with a DJ playing in the background. The water in this pond is not clean again. (The rest of the place is clean though). You can climb up a little to have a feel of walking through a rainforest. Lot of greenery a d forest like feel is there. At the top is the main waterfall, which is well covered with a space for taking pictures and playing inside the water as well. Two bridges built over this place to have adventure games as shown in the picture. These games are chargeable (100/- per head) There is a local stall for rented Sikkimese outfits for the purpose of taking pictures again. (100/- per head) For men and women. Moderate length of Zip-lining is available as well. Of course it is chargeable (100/- per head). All in all if you have an hour extra at Gangtok while on this way, this place is a must visit.

A waterfall park with quite a few activities for both adults and children. Badly wanted to try the rock climbing activity. The walk over the hanging bridge demanded a lot of focus. Good food at the restaurant inside the park. Overall, it's a nice spot to spend time.

It's good if you love nature. If you love walking to much then you can come here without car else if you come by car also you save some walk, but will you need to walk and it's step. Better have some time for this place or else you exhausted. There are less animals, love red panda

This is a very well maintained garden with a lot of varieties of flowers. This place is known for its rhododendron collection. You get them in all colors. I was mesmerized by the flower collection. It would be great if they can have a functional cafe but the stalls outside serve great tea and momos. We also bought a shawl from there and it was good quality.

It's good if you want to enjoy peace and nature. However don't expect to see animals as there are very few. The cafe is closed. It's not maintained properly.

It's a nice monastery to visit. The actual pray area was silent and calm for you to spend some time in silence. Outside there are over 200 prayer wheels that you can rotate to pray. Lots of photo opportunities as well, the scenario provides a beautiful backdrop for your photos. Not entry charge except for car parking. The souvenirs are much cheaper here than on MG Marg.

Quite a good experience running over the city of Gangtok but very short ride. 2 way and single way is same price Rs.161 per head. So better choose 2 way as it hardly takes time. If it's crowded then u can't even see anything unless you are on the sides.

Quite expensive for what it offers. As usual parking is extra with 30 INR, no parking receipts provided as usual. The cable car ride is pretty short and you pay for to & fro ride. They can pack in upto 26 people in the cable car. 230 INR per person both ways plus 5% GST. No seats inside the cable car. Way overpriced and can be avoided if one has been in cable cars before.

1. Place is located near Ropeway. Taxis need to pay parking charge of Rs 20. Entry ticket is Rs 25/person and can be paid online . No photographs are allowed inside museum. 2. Museum itself is small and contains details of Lord Buddha's life. If you read everything it will take you half an hour. 3. There's a souvenir shop on the campus but quite costly. You can buy same thing cheaper at MG Road. 4. There's a toilet on the premises. Costs Rs 10 like all toilets in Sikkim. 5. U can visit Do Drul Chorten nearby. 6. A small but well organized and well maintained museum. Their collection of handwritten manuscripts and Thangka is extensive. The museum building is quite beautiful and photogenic.

Nice place to visit if one likes historical stuff. The counter says UPI was not working, so needed to pay in cash. The ticket charges are 25 INR per person which is on a bit higher side. This seems to be the Parking is extra for 20 INR.

A monastery, a place of worship. 1 can walk around the monastery and turn the cylindrical prayer bells. A quite and pious place, has a steep slope which some might have to walk, subject to parking space.

Do Drul Chorten or Do Drul Stupa ,Is located Near Namgyal Institute of Tibetology NIT at Deorali Gangtok sikkim. The surroundings of this Chorten is simply soul stirring. Minute you leave crowded area of Deorali, and enter the gate , you will be passing through long rows of trees,and lush green peaceful mountains,the scenery is breathtaking. The chorten is surrounded by a monastery with cabins for monks who come to study. There are chanting rooms, where monks will be chanting prayers, the sound of chanting spiritually lifts spirit. During auspicious occasions, you may volunteer to offer some fund in their office and request prayers for your loved ones,sometimes they comply and you will hear monks chanting prayers for you and your loved ones, such moment is heart rendering. Also they have separate enclosure for burning lamps for departed souls, you may buy and lit lamp. Such act renders calm and peaceful feeling.

Incredible place of power with traditions still being observed. Go more than once. Don't take your phone or camera, just be there. Feel the place. I was lucky enough to go on an open weekend where they were dancing and performing, as well as on quieter days. It's well worth your time and attention.

It was a lovely experience. This Monastry is actually considered the “Gaurd” of Gangtok. It’s a holy place therefore one can’t click pictures of the main temple. Even though no one would stop you from clicking pics I would suggest that visitors try to maintain the sanctity of the place . It was very peaceful and aesthetic. Seven Sisters Falls Also known as Nohsngithiang Falls or Mawsmai falls. It is located near Nohsngithiang village. Located at a distance of approximately 4 km from Cherrapunji Bus Stop and 1 km from Mawsmai village. The water here falls from a height of 315 metres (1033 ft). Seven Sisters Falls in Meghalaya is a unique wonder, comprising seven individual streams, that cascade from the limestone cliffs. Each stream represents one of the seven northeastern states of India. The sight of these seven streams converging, is a breathtaking spectacle, symbolising unity in diversity. The best time to visit Seven Sisters Waterfall in Meghalaya is during the monsoon. The view, in fact, makes for a captivating one when it rains and the entire region comes alive. I visited this falls on 30th May. Earlier attempts were futile because of severe rains and almost zero visibility in that area. What a beautiful view,when several falls are gathered in one place. Jumping from the green cliff and further moving down into the green forest. The view point is on the road itself and clear of any obstruction. As efforts have been made to make this site more tourist-friendly, it has now developed into a perfect spot where people love to spend time with their friends and family. The Tourist and Civil Aviation Department has built a waiting shed and a cafeteria here, where visitors can spend time to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the area. Famous tourist spot in gangtok. Almost 1 hr away from gangtok this is a huge waterfall which has 7 streams altogether. Mostly packed with tourists. However only 2 falls are visible from the outside as others are quite up in hills covered in trees. The place is not properly maintained and you can climb up on the rocks to get a perfect view of the waterfall. Washroom facility is available which is paid and clean. There is a stall for maggie, momos, omlet etc. It is indeed very calming and peaceful to stand in front of the waterfall and admire the beauty of mother earth.

This place is one of the most beautiful places that i have ever seen. The breathtaking view along with some hot tea, garma garam momos and maggi is a must when you go there.
